Cracked Alloy Wheel

Cracked Wheels most often occur when your vehicle hits a pothole at speed. The crack in the alloy wheel destroys the seal and prevents the correct pressure being maintained in the tyre. Larger cracks will also effect the structural integrity of the wheel and will need repair. At Surbiton Tyre and Wheel we can repair the cracks using an alloy weld. We will then fit the tyre back to the rim and re-balance the wheel.

Buckled Alloy Wheel

Buckled alloy wheels are more often a result of a high speed meeting with a kerb. But damage could also be from pothole collision. Sometimes the lip of the wheel is a little bent preventing the tyre from forming a seal. Other times the shape of the whole wheel is distorted, putting the wheel out of action. We can often straighten buckled wheels so please bring them down to us for eveluation.
